The most effective tool we’ve found is Malwarebytes. Once installed, simply select quick scan (full scan if you have a more serious infection, or can afford the hour+ it may take to work).

This software is very effective at clearing most minor virus infections. Simply follow the prompts and restart when the scan has completed and the infections have been removed.
